Its name says it all — "Pey" the hill, "meinade" the young child. Before 1868, Peymeinade did not officially exist: it was the downstream area of Cabris, with its cultivable lands. A historic crossroads between Nice and Provence for spices, skins and corals from Cannes, it still preserves its beautiful lion-head fountain from the 19th century and its library with a ceiling painted in 1882 by the Companions of the Tour de France. The second largest commercial town after Grasse — and yet, it has kept the soul of a Provençal village.
